Provided by YP.comMy child attended this school years ago. We still visit the from time to time. My child is in grade school now but still remembers her experiences as a young preschooler. My daughter loved the staff then and enjoys the new staff now whenever we visit. On her last visit, she observed the activities the preschool teacher did with the children such as singing with musical instruments and all the many fun and educational Fall activities. My daughter got so excited, she said she wished she could attend preschool all over again. We love A Gr8t Beginning. We recommend this school to all our friends and family,

Provided by YP.comMy second child is now attending A Gr8t Beginning Academy and, just like his older brother, looks forward to going to school every day. Obviously, he must feel comfortable, safe and reassured by his teachers Ms. Linda and Ms. Virginia. My son has a very strong and persistent personality, and I am more than happy to know that he is accepted and encouraged to be himself, as well as taught how to cooperatively interact with peers and adults--he tells me about his day -each day- himself. My husband and I are both professional teachers for LAUSD and together we have over 26 years of direct teaching experience with children at the elementary level. We know the value and importance of an excellent early start in education, and we take pride in knowing our own children are getting the best instruction. When we were referred to A Gr8t Beginning by a good friend 4 years ago, we gave it a try for the summer. We were impressed by the professionalism and dedication of Ms. Linda; we saw that the teachers were knowledgeable and developed great unit-themed projects that were differentiated for age and ability, engaging, and of course educational; and we saw the effort to incorporate extra-curricular activities into the school year, like a walking trip to Foster Freeze, a pumpkin patch field trip, and an evening performance of the children's songs and dances. We have stayed with this school since then, and we believe that this was the best school for our son #1 and definitely the best school for our son#2 now!

Provided by YP.comA Gr8t Beginning Academy, the name speaks for itself. My son absolutely loves this school. My son started this academy in May 2012. He is TWO YEARS OLD. At two years old my son can count to Twenty, SPELL his WHOLE name, knows and recognizes the whole alphabet, recognizes colors, uses vocabulary in the right tenses and can trace his name, shapes, lines, and alphabet. He knows all his classmate names. Let me remind you he is two years old. Ms. Linda and Ms. Virgina are phenomenal. Once I turn into the academy parking lot my son lights up and always tells me, " Mommy there goes Ms. Linda and Ms. Virgina car." The academy is very clean and they ensure that your child will be in good hands throughout the day. They are very patient and gives attention to each and every child. My son went from shy and barely talking clear to the level he is at in 5 months. This academy is truly a blessing. If you want your child to have a great foundation for life I would definently recommend this academy for you. Trust me you will not find another academy better than this one. My niece is an alumni from here and I can only hope that my son follows in her footsteps. Thanks once again Ms. Linda.

Provided by YP.comI'm so happy to have found this school for my son and my daughters. My son has been attending for two years and my girls will soon start. Ms. Linda and her staff has always shown care and concern for my son's physical and emotional well being. It's not easy for a two year old to transition to preschool. Yeah he did have his bad days, his days where he even refused to do homework with me, but with their hard-work and my encouragement as a parent. Together we were able to overcome, and have a well behaved little boy that listens, questions, and observe the world in way that I find amazing. He is academically past his cousin who is a year older than him. He's been spelling his name since he was three and can now write his name as well. He knows the 50 States, the planets; can count easily to twenty and can spell two-three letter words.I wish I could fit all his accomplishments, but not enough space. Can't wait until my daughters start and see their progress.

Provided by YP.comA Gr8t Beginning Academy is a fantastic school. Mrs. Virginia and Ms. Linda are very professional and caring. My 3-year old comes home from school every day with new and engaging projects. He can't stop talking about what he's learned for the day and never wants to miss a day of school. I would definitely recommend A Gr8t Beginning Academy to family and friends.
