I have shopped at the Bead Store for years, since they were on N. Carson St. Everyone there has always been nice and helpful. Their selection of beads, findings, and more is great, and I have gotten inspiration for another project nearly every time I have gone there. Also, I have taken some of their classes, which are very instructional and helpful.

I live in Carson, but will not shop there again. They sell rocks, beads and crystals, but do not know any information on them, except what they are. I bought 6 uncut very small clear crystals and they charged $1.00 a piece. I also wanted to buy a '7 faced Rudrushka' from India, but all they had was imitation beads, and they spelled wrong ('Rude Rushka').

wonderful selection, friendly staff, very knowledgeable. everything is kept amazingly organized for how much they have in that little store! i dont know how they do it! my favorite place to shop! shop local and keep it local!

Only go there if you're desperate. Don't talk to the owner and be ready to take your little debit card straight out the door. It isn't worth the hassle. I was speaking softly to the store clerk whose husband is a soldier who did two tours in the Middle East, can't get work, is damaged, and waiting until December for his benefits! I am also a veteran waiting decades for benefits. The owner rebuked me, the customer, as she didn't want the creative atmosphere of her precious shop damaged by political talk. Then when I was in a weakened position, psychologically, she pushed a bunch of stuff on me and I fell for it. Big hard sell. The website is pretty, but for heaven's sake order from Shipwreck or Fire Mountain and save your precious psyche from such abuse. It just is not what it looks like. If you are sweet and gentle, you take it with you because it sure isn't there!
