I went in to Floyd Urgent care on Wednesday evening. I arrived around 5:30 and wasn't seen for an hour and a half. I went for a strep test because of symptoms that were similar, i.e. White patches on my tonsils and fatigue. Then waited in the lobby to find out it was negative. The Dr wanted to rule out an upper respiratory infection so sent for more tests. We had to two days for results. In the mean time I was coughing up bloody phlegm and getting more concerned. When Saturday arrived we had to call Floyd to find out the results that it was a common cold. Let me note that I don't go to the Dr and the reason being is a fear of getting belittled and that is exactly what happened. The nurse had a chuckle st my expense without knowing anything about my history, my work life or the stress I endure on a daily basis. Needless to say if I ever experience heart attack symptoms I will think twice that it could just be heartburn and risk getting laughed at again. I will not be returning there for any of my loved ones care.
