UCAR Emulsion Systems develops, manufactures and sells UCAR acrylic, vinyl acrylic and styrene acrylic latexes and branched vinyl ester NEOCAR latexes. These products are used in the architectural coatings, adhesives, construction products, industrial coatings, textile, traffic paints and paper markets. UES also produces and markets complementary UCAR POLYPHOBE Rheology Modifiers as well as markets CELLOSIZE Hydroxyethyl Cellulose. Headquartered in Cary, N.C., UES employs approximately 800 people, working in areas such as polymer science research, chemical engineering, sales, marketing, accounting, customer service and production. Globally, UES has 12 sites, including plants in the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Philippines, United Arab Emirates and South America.
