Chatham Hill Winery was established in 1999 as the first winery in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area and the first Urban Winery in North Carolina. Its mission is to produce distinctive, handcrafted wines of high quality and purity from grapes grown in North Carolina. Majority of Chatham Hill wines including Chardonnay, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc are handcrafted from the best quality Yadkin Valley AVA grapes produced by our grower partners.

the location suprised us, it is in an industrail park. But had a great tour and testing. However the customer service afterwards was terrible. One of our party wanted to try a certain wine, they were willing to pay for a glass to try it. they told the person behind the counter that if he liked it he would probably buy a few bottles. It was not just that person told him no, it was the manner she did it in, one would say she was a total B***about it. they lost our business because of it. We like to tour local wineries around the country and will normally buy several bottles and have even ordered online or returned to get more, but not here not never again. When will business learn to teach customer service to their employees.

Phenomenal wines. In terms of their French style wines there is one for everyone. The sweet wines are good too. Especially the blackberry. The Blackberry is the ultimate desert wine.
