Mesquite Elementary School is a Reading First school that enrolls more than 750 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as language arts, math, science, social studies, art, computers, music, physical education and Spanish. It also offers at-risk preschool, gifted instruction, transitional bilingual and Title I reading programs. The school s campus includes a media center, computer laboratory, music room, common area for collaborative activities and a multipurpose room with a stage. It has a student council and offers the NASA SEMAA program. Additionally, the school offers guidance counseling and health services. The school provides various sports activities, such as cross country, basketball and soccer. Located in Casa Grande, Ariz., Mesquite Elementary School is a part of the Casa Grande Elementary School District.
