Many doctors were unable to pin-down an agreed upon diagnosis-although symtoms were, at times severe requiring multiple hospitalizations. Since none of the doctors agreed, I concluded it must be all in my head. Dr. Herter gave me the most definitive answers & suggested a medicine regime to my primary doctor. Dr. Herter gave me valuable feedback on pain management, & got me on medications that were helpful. He was very thorough, patient & direct. For the first time, I was told I had a physical problem & was medically manged. Also, it was nice to know I was not crazy, and my syptoms were not in my head.
