Established in 1951, the Margaretta Township Fire Department works to prevent, control and limit damages by fire. The department provides emergency medical services at basic and advance level of life support. It maintains a tanker, grass fire unit, pumpers, ambulances, utility vehicles, rescue boats and response trailers. The Margaretta Township Fire Department is comprised of more than 30 members that include a captain, lieutenants, paramedics, emergency medical technicians and firefighters. The department responds to more than 600 emergency medical, fires and rescues calls every year. In addition, it offers education programs and presentations that promote fire safety. The Margaretta Township Fire Department is located in Castalia, Ohio.
