Catskill Middle School, located in Catskill, N.Y., serves students in grades seven and eight. Its staff includes a guidance counselor, library media specialist, psychologist, social worker, nurse, athletic director and director of technology. The guidance office provides parents with information about resources for a variety of special needs. The office offers information on summer classes, accelerated learning, contacting tutors, academic support, mentoring and peer mediation programs. Catskill Middle School provides instruction in various core curriculum areas, including language arts, social studies, history, mathematics, science and English. Additionally, Catskill Middle School provides lessons in art, band, choir, health and physical education, foreign languages and theater arts. The educational facility also publishes a newsletter.
