Went there in October. The food was wonderful, as always, but we were really disappointed to get regular toast instead of the Brown Bottles famous italian bread we knew and loved. We got a basket of end pieces of toast. Not even texas toast, but it was like they pulled out ther toaster and threw in some slices of wonderbread. We were all so disappointed. Instead of cutting corners on bread, most people would happily pay a little more for the real GOOD italian hot garlic bread you are known for (Which you can still get in Iowa City, I might add) or make your other portions smaller and leave the prices alone. It may seem like something small to you, but in the end it may hurt your thriving business if you keep the wonderbread! JMHO. I'll check with the Waterloo one to see what their bread is before I go there and I wont be eating at the CF Brown Bottle again, regardless of the food because of something as simple as the traditional bread til it changes again. Had that been different I'd have rated it 5 stars

Growing up I loved this place because the Lasagna is great...I am driving from Florida and this is the only place in Cedar Falls I want to eat at while I am home.
