Dear Chief:

Please accept our sincere appreciation for the patience and support we received from members of your department last night (1/27/17).

My husband and I had some trees dug up and removed from our back yard this week and this created an enormous mound of tree stumps and debris that needed to be burned. First, let me say that we're from Boston and we've both witnessed some horrendous fires in the city and although my husband understands this kind of burning more than I do, he was less nervous than I was, however, he agreed to let me call your department and ask for assistance.

The men who arrived were wonderful. I feel they took extra time to reassure me, many times, that this was a safe burn and that none of the families around us were in danger.

In closing, please know that we are extremely thankful to you and the members of your department and for your service and support in our community. God bless you all and your families.
