Located in Cedar Knolls, N.J., Allegro School is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with autism and pervasive development disorders in northern and central New Jersey by utilizing applied behavior analysis. Founded in 1989, it offers various programs, and facilities, including a day school, vocational training, job placement, adult employment center, group homes, and family and professional training. The school also offers residential and respite care, family support, outreach consultation and transitional services. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as mathematics, foreign languages, arts, physical education, social studies, science and music. Additionally, the school also offers various activities, including behavioral programming, consultations, social interactions and parental training through workshops.
