Some may say that one fails a UA, it should be kept confidential, however, I appreciate the fact that not only the counselor, but the whole group, is here to hold each other accountable. Not in a negative way, but in a positive and supportive way. Thank you for helping me change my ways. I'll always remember Grace Counseling and I'll always be grateful for the tools you passed on.

I came to Grace Counseling knowing I needed help with my alcoholic state and not knowing much of anything else. The program you run quickly made me feel at ease and gave me hope. Your structure and guidance showed me I was here for a purpose and I could successfully stop drinking. Grace Counseling became my foundation which I used to build upon. You taught me things I have never been told or had any interest in trying. I did not know a way of life without using before coming here. Today, I no longer feel the need to drink. THE OBSESSION IS GONE! Through your program and AA, I'm learning a new way to live happily and at peace. My personal relationships are amazingly better and getting stronger. I am incredibly grateful to Grace Counseling and everyone here. :)Mark

this is a amazing treatment center i have grown so much thanks to this place and its staff (penny and alice ) combined with my own effort because with any Drug and Alcohol Treatment you will only get out of it what you put into it.penny is a wonderful patient person.i attended this treatment for 7 epic months seen and helped many ppl threw relapse and not 1 person got discharged for their use that was honest about what happened.
in my 7 months attending at gace i have gotten a job and three pay increases i have money saved from my first check 7 months ago my kids think of me as the hero again i learned to stop hating my self for the terrible things i had done during my active use i feel more ready for my next step in life what ever it my be good or bad and the ability to handle it then i have in my whole life Penny would say i did my self bye doing the work but with out this place and the experience they offered i wouldnt had the work too do

p.s i also was in treatment with the pesrson who gave grace such a bad review he showed up hours late and even would leave early was very rude and using please dont judge this place on him

I like the way they have me fill out my own paperwork so as to get accurate information from me. My experience was that the person who did my assessment, was very upfront, honest, and personable. Even though I did not like the results of the recommendation, it has helped me tremendously to get my life back on track. It is too bad people have to lie about such a good program just because they were caught using and abusing the system by continuously getting high. Thanks again, Grace counseling.

I was in treatment with the person who wrote the extremely bad review. that person was continuously late by either 30 to 90 minutes. I thought the staff was very patient with him. There were times he would come into group high on something. I had a very good experience at grace counseling services. The staff were very professional but in the same time personal and respectful. As a result, I now have over six months sobriety. It is too bad that people have to lie about a program just because they do not put up with their adolescent behaviors.

Unfortunately, Grace Counseling seems to be more about money and control, rather than recovery. All the cards are stacked against successful completion of the program and people are "restarted" multiple times to pay the bills. If someone is more than 15-20 late, it is considered an absence and they are not allowed to make up any late time. You are only allowed two absences before being discharged and/or restarted. However, if the owner likes you or chooses to overlook tardiness or absences then you will be fine. She will even give permission to arrive late and leave up to 1.5 hours early and still give full credit! Rules there are obviously self- serving and arbitrary. NOT about helping someone stay sober!
And, unlike most other therapy groups, you are not allowed to voice your opinion or frustrations if they are different from hers, and she will bully you into silence and insult both your views and intelligence.
Even worse, she completely undermines and degrades the mental health profession and insists that there is no need for anxiety meds because "life IS anxiety". No one is allowed to take ANY prescription meds while in her program, regardless of the need. She has absolutely NO degrees or formal education to have an opinion on this.
If you are the submissive or uneducated type, you will probably do just fine...IF she likes you.

Very good at including all participants. Would recommend fine tuning approach for those who are not religious.
Overall performance of counselor is fair, but would recommend to other people.

Alice is an excellent counselor. Very generous! Delightful to be around. She is consistent in checking in with me. Always encouraging. Made me feel safe and loved. Loved both Primary and Aftercare Treatment

Very good at encouraging people to get a sponsor and attend AA or NA. Great with defining Step Work. Excellent counselor. Definitely would recommend Grace Counseling.

This treatment center has far exceeded my expectations. Talking with others about my problems and vice versa really helped me through the tough times. Wonderful staff! They are very helpful and encouraging. Assessment was very accurate. They reported what I wrote on the Assessment form.

I too just had an assessment and found the exact same thing. She even came right out and told me she thought I was lying. It will be interesting and probably horrifying to read the assessment once it comes. I went in voluntarily but she still wanted to send the report off to other people. I am getting very uncomfortable.
