This is such a great place! Everything from my first visit, the planing the consequent test visits, and the surgery were professionally, intelligently, and perfectly executed!

Cedar Park Surgeons makes every effort to inform patients of their financial responsibility prior to surgery. We explain that the estimate/quote is just "that", an estimate/quote. As a courtesy, we contact each patients' insurance company and find out if their deductible has been met and what their coinsurance is to minimize any surprises after surgery. We always strive for patients to have the best experience possible during the stressful time of having to have surgery. Once surgery begins, the surgeon may have to do an additional or alternative surgical treatment depending on the situation. For example the size or depth of a mass may be larger and take longer to remove, thus increasing the level of the code, therefore the cost. It may also be less and we may refund a patient after surgery due to minor changes in surgical treatments. We do not set our pricing, as insurance companies actually dictate to us what is allowable from a financial standpoint, so our prices are definitely competitive with any other surgeons office. We welcome any and all questions to our billing team.

I had surgery over a year ago here, and I enjoyed Dr Basa. However, I had to pay her several hundred dollars upfront and was told that would be all I needed to pay since my deductible had been met. Then after my surgery they began billing me for more money, saying that the money I payed earlier was just an "estimate." Very pricey surgeon. Make sure you have your insurance in order and understand what you are paying for.
