I took my kitten to this hospital on 9-7-2012 she wasnt eating, running a temp. of 104 and she wasnt moving much. I called at 4:30 PM on a Friday afternoon, and the girl told me to bring Jackie right in, . I was there in 5 minutes, and the girls at the desk were very nice ,caring , and got the paper work done in minutes. I noticed a friend working there and I was more at ease. With in a couple minutes I was wisked into a treatment room and a nurse came in and took Jackie's vitals, after, Dr, Mortin came in and checked Jackie over, she seemed to take a interest in this baby, and ordered a blood test and fecal exam, it didnt take long and the doctor ordered a antibiotic and told me if there is no change or things get worse to bring Jackie back in saturday morning. On Saturday morning Jackie's condition got worse, she now couldnt or wouldnt use her rear legs. So I took her back too the hospital, and a Dr. Cox took charge of Jackie's care, Dr. Cox showed real concern and drew more blood and while the blood work was being processed she started treating my kitten for something she had a feeling Jackie had, she did this because the test would take a couple days to get back, and she didn't want Jackie to wait, she kept Jackie over sunday and a nurse was gonna make sure Jackie was eating and drinking, and responding to the new medication.Well, first thing monday morning, Dr. Mortin called me and said come get Jackie she's back to her old self, I was so happy and picked her up right away.I really thought my little budy was gonna die, and these people saved her life, she is back home eating my feet, and tearing up the house.THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, looks like Im gonna have her for many years to come... I rescued my dog from a puppy mill essentially, and as a result my dog has special needs. I was very concerned about some of her behaviors that have been developing as she gets older including food aggression and fearful snapping such as when she is anxious or vulnerable (ie approached when she is lying down). Dr. Keel accused me of "not disciplining" my dog and said that if it were his dog he would have "walloped her upside the head." He said, “I’m just redneck like that but my dogs listen.” I inquired about a behaviorist, and Dr. Keel told me that he didn't believe in human or dog psychology. I then inquired about possible anxiety medication and he said "well I know you are not going to discipline your dog because you are too soft so let's start her on meds (doggy prozac) right away." I've never been so speechless. I will never go back there.

Provided by SuperpagesAnother great visit at Brigadoon Animal Hospital! My daughters kitten had become lethargic so I called and made an appointment. We were greeted by a smile and friendly hello when we walked in.Within just a couple of minutes we were in one of the exam rooms. A young man came in and introduced himself as Travis. He weighed the kitten, took her temperature and chatted with us as he made notes. (Travis has a calm easy manner about him that is refreshing and reassuring.) He said the doctor would be in momentarily. A minute or so later Dr. Puette came in. He examined the kitten while talking to me and my daughter. He said the kitten was running a little bit of a fever. He called Travis back in and told him what medicines to get for the kitten. The kitten has responded to the medicines and is back to her playful self.We have been well pleased with Dr. Puette and Brigadoon for over twenty-three years now. Professional and caring best describes Dr. Puette and his staff

I started taking my animals to Brigadoon five years ago and they have been amazing. My full blooded lab Kayla is always excited, tail wagging and Happy to see them. And my big boy Brody, a lab/grotty mix is always eager as well. He loves the familiar faces and trusts them, as do I. They recognize them by name when they come in and are wonderful to them. My babied love them and I couldn't be happier.

Moved to the area a couple of years ago. Had a great vet "back home" and were concerned about the care our guys might recieve here. We have four dogs one of which is elderly and has some health issues. The staff at Brigadoon has been great. We have gotten several phone calls from the vet himself just to check on her. Very compassionate people and very efficient. You are always seen promptly if you have an appointment. I have also had to call several times and asked to be seen that day and they have always been able to accomodate us. Mostly have dealt with Dr Puette and Dr Bounds-both are fantastic!

Provided by YP.comI had my dog seen at this hospital for all his puppy shots and decided to have him neutered there. The neuter went fine however after spending the night there, 5 days later he came down with kennel cough. I brought him back and was told by a very rude female vet that I had never met that he probably did not contract it there and that I had to pay for the exam and meds. My dog is not around any other dogs and has been nowhere except in my home, backyard and car. I was finally told that I didn't have to pay for the exam after the vet spoke to the practice managager however I would have to pay for the meds. Be careful if you need to leave your dog overnight because despite having the kennel cough vaccine he now has kennel cough and I have to pay for the meds and almost had to pay for the exam. I will never go back again as I was made to feel like I gave my dog the kennel cough and was asking them to pay for the treatment. I guess you get what you pay for as this animal hospital is very affordable.

Provided by SuperpagesThis office is more interested in your money and their time then your pet. I took my dog to them after practically rescuing him from his previous owner. You could see he was underweight, covered in fleas, hardly stand up let alone walk and taking last breaths. The receptionist looked at him and told me to take him to the E.R. vet because they were closing within the hour. Basically she didn't even let us in the door. I got him to the E.R. vet he told me if I had waited any longer that he wouldn't have made it. The vet said he had anemia, was dehydrated and underfeed. I left him with the E.R. vet they gave him a dip for the fleas and put an iv in him for some fluids and called me to pick him up after 1 1/2 hours. Brigadoon couldn't give my dog an extra hour of their time at the most probably. I am sure if they had I would of had to pay a fortune for it as well. I have heard plenty of horror stories and bankruptcy tells about this place, and to think they built a new office scary thought
