Cedarburg Fire Department provides fire response and emergency medical services to more than 15,000 residents. It provides fire suppression services that include search and rescue, fire attack and ventilation. The department offers active public education program that provides educational demonstration, including fire extinguishers, auto extrications, medical emergencies, and blood pressure and cholesterol screenings. It also conducts inspections of more than 500 commercial buildings, new construction, building remodels and change of occupancy along with liquor license inspection. The department is operated by the city of Cedarburg that also operates other departments, such as light and water utility, public works, law and enforcement, and police and sheriff department. Cedarburg Fire Department has been providing fire protection services since 1866 and is located in Cedarburg, Wis.
