We booked a 3 night stay for July over two months in advance. The week of our trip I called numerous times and no one picked up the phone. I left 2 Voicemails (on different days) and tried an email to confirm our reservation. I was emailed back this reply
"I have been trying to figure out what I can do as there is a person who has decided to stay longer and is renting monthly. I don't like telling you I do not have a room but I really do not have a room available. I did call around to other motels and this is what is available as of this morning for the dates you needed:"
This was 2 days before we were supposed to be there and no one bothered to call me when the decision was made to not honor our reservation. Also the hotels she listed were either 2-3 times more expensive or too far away. I think calling when it was decided or even calling me back after I left two voicemails to explain our reservation was cancelled would have been more appropriate. When we asked why we were not informed sooner there was no replay and we were ignored by the hotel and manager (the manager was the one who finally emailed me 2 days before we were supposed to be there.)
