Provided by YP.comOur dog Holly is 3 years old and probably has been to LRPR 10+ times. There is no place I would ever go to except for LRPR. Cindy and her staff are wonderful. The entire place is clean. She and her employees all love the animals. Holly can be a handful and yet they are always happy to see her.

Provided by YP.comThere is no other place I would ever leave my dog! I did not know how I would keep my dog with new job related travel requirements. Cindi and Mike and their caring staff have created a home-away-from-home for my pug mix. When we pull in to the yard, my dog is SO excited to return to the kennel! The staff is so attentive and treats my dog as their own. They make sure that he has friends to play with and are very concerned with safety. The place is remarkably clean! I am so thankful for all that the wonderful staff does to make my dog happy and me comfortable leaving him in their capable care.
We very much appreciate your kind words and nice review. My staff works very hard to care for all the pets staying here and I am proud of our excellent safety record. Indeed we hear all the time how amazed people are with the cleanliness of our facility. We love having your dog with us and look forward to seeing him again this coming week! Thank you for being a faithful client.

Provided by YP.comI jumped online to write a review for LRPR expecting to see nothing short of a 5 star rating. I see this isn't the case so I'll put my two cents in. If you want a place where your dog is SAFE, happy, and having fun this is the kennel to go to in the area. Actually compared to the other kennels in the area it's the only place you should be considering. My dog boards with LRPR and goes to doggy daycare. My dog can't wait to get out of the car when we pull up. He is extremely well taken care of, taken out VERY frequently, and rooms are cleaned and swept out all the time. The staff couldn't be better, true animal lovers. And Cindy the owner really strives to make sure dogs are safe and happy. I've lived in multiple areas in NH and have had multiple dogs. Needless to say this is by far the best boarding facility I have ever used. It's ironic their rates are the same as other boarders around the area. With the peace of mind I have leaving my dog in the care of Beth, Kim and Roxanne as well as Cindy I would be willing to pay more. Plus it's all tag wags from the pup! Five stars.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. I am proud of my staff and our facility. We truly strive to be the best Pet Resort in the area and very much appreciate our faithful clients that use our facility.

Provided by YP.comWe were repeat customers to LRPR, until recently. We booked our Christmas vacation in August and made reservations for our dog to stay here. On November 21st they called us and asked for a 50% deposit because they were filling up fast for the Christmas holiday. We thought this was a bit unusual but we sent out a check for $100. Their web site states that "For pets staying more than 5 days a 50% deposit is required AT CHECK IN TIME. This request was made a month in advance. On December 2 our dog ruptured his liver, went into toxic shock and very nearly died. His life was saved and we were told to keep him extremely quiet until the end of December, so we had to cancel our vacation and also cancel the reservations that we had made for our dog. We did this on December 8th. My husband spoke with the owner of LRPR, Cindy, and she said that although she felt sorry for our dog, she just did not know if she would return our deposit to us. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear from her with no results, my husband contacted her again. We were told that we would not be getting our $100 deposit back...that she and her husband talked about it and decided that "what good is taking a deposit if we're just going to give it back?". However, they would love it if we would board our dog with them and they will put our deposit towards that visit. We were disappointed with this because after our experience with LRPR, we have no intention of boarding him there again. Their website states that "Due to the large number of boarding calls we receive a cancellation fee is at the discretion of the owners of LRPR. $100.00 fee for reservations cancelled less than 10 days before all holidays and winter and spring breaks.
We cancelled 13 days in advance but they still decided to keep our money. Yes, they've put it aside and yes it is our choice to not return here. but I think that Cindy and her husband made an extremely bad business choice here. The severity of the health of our dog forced us to cancel well in advance and I think they should have taken that into consideration. We were well within all their cancellation guide lines.
I can understand you being upset after reading your review but I do feel it is necessary to clarify our policies on deposits for peak time periods (major holidays and winter & spring break) and our cancellation policy for these time periods. Since opening our doors in 2011 we have always taken advanced deposits for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the two School breaks. When you began boarding Zack with us, you filled out and signed a boarding agreement that states our cancellation policy for holidays and it reads: " A reservation canceled for a holiday will incur a guaranteed charge." I am mailing you a copy of the agreement with Cindy's signature. We always have a waiting list for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter and Spring break. We take the advanced deposits to insure that once we have received the checks, we can go ahead and call the people on the waiting lists so they can make other arrangements. When people cancel we have turned business away that is not always easy to re-book with such short notice. In your situation I explained to Jim that I would see if I could fill the 8 days you reserved and if so, would make an exception and refund the deposit. I was able to fill a couple days. Meeting in the middle was my intention when I called back and offered to use the deposit for a future boarding. When other clients have had to cancel for emergencies, they have felt this offer was more than fair. I hope that once you review the boarding agreement you will see that indeed I followed our written cancellation policy for holidays. I happened to keep your note from when you sent the deposit, "....We're so thankful that you have room for him, he likes it there!" My offer stands that we will be glad to use your deposit for a future boarding for Zack. He is a great dog!

Provided by YP.comI send my pup to LRPR for doggy day care - two days a week - mostly for socialization purposes. I drove by this facility a number of times, and had a tour of the place prior to bringing my pup. I have left my pup here while on vacation for two weeks. I pick up and drop off at different times - so they never know exactly when I am coming. The staff here is always friendly and welcoming. Cindy and her caretakers love animals and it shows. I had to board my dog for a long weekend and just picked him up yesterday at noon. Today would normally have been a daycare day. I felt terribly guilty about as I say - putting him back in the slammer - but I had a lot of running around to do and I thought perhaps he would rather go to LRPR than sit in my car. I started to gather his things and mentioned "school" to him ... and my dog started running in circles, and jumping up and down. I listen to my dog - he loves it there - the place is safe, clean, organized and well run. Two thumbs up in my book.

Provided by YPmobileI showed up at this boarding facility without an appointment so see their kennel. I don't genuinely like kennels that you cannot "drop in" on. Upon arrival, there was a single dog, alone, in the fenced-in play area. That is a big "NO-NO!!" Dogs should not be left unattended in a play yard. They could dig under a fence, climb over the fence, or worse, a wild or rabid animal could attack. I was a tad put off by that. A woman, who seemed to be working by herself, was checking in some clients. As I waited outside for her to finish....the same woman came outside, called the Siberian Husky in from the outdoor play yard, brought him inside, and let a small Maltese-type dog outside -- ALONE! He had his harness still on, which is also a big "NO NO" for the can attached themselves to the chain link fence and hurt themselves. This kennel screams a law suit. I left immediately. I would not leave my precious cargo here!!

Provided by YP.comThis place is the best! My two lab mixes stayed here for the first time and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. They have stayed at a few different kennels and this is by far the best place they have ever stayed. It is truly a resort and not just a kennel. The staff is so nice and the facility is wonderful. You can bring your dog's favorite things from home and even set up their room! They have your dogs come for a free transition day before they stay too so they can get to know the place before you leave them. My dogs were very comfortable there and I didn't worry about them once while I was gone. I highly recommend the lakes region pet resort!
Thank you for the kind words. We work very hard to run a top notch pet resort and appreciate you recognizing this. I hope you will use our facility again the next time you need to board your dogs!

Provided by YP.comDon't ever board your pets here. Can you imagine being 600 miles away and getting a phone call to "come get your dog; we can't have him here destroying the place"! They care more about their neighbors (your dog can't bark because barking bothers the neighbors) and their facility (we were charged an extra $180!! to replace a scratched door when it could easily have been repainted) than they do about your dog and your peace of mind when away from your pet. I only wish my lab could talk and tell me what really happened to him at Lakes Region Pet Resort.
I know that no one likes to receive news that their pet has done anything wrong, it is like having someone tell you your child misbehaved. We hate to have to break that news to customers but unfortunately it does sometimes happen. In our contract that you signed we state that any damage done to the property by a dog is the responsibility of the pet owner. We showed you the damaged door and and frame and there was clearly many dents along with the scratches. The dents could not be painted, the door had to be replaced. When a dog barks constantly it not only potentially disturbs neighbors but stresses the other boarding guests. We need to think of all the dogs staying here so when I called about the damage and barking issues I asked if you had an alternative person for keeping the dog I did not ask you to come pick up the dog. We made sure your dog was safe and comfortable including personally checking on him throughout the night when he was barking. With over 250 dogs having boarded at Lakes Region Pet Resort since November 2011 , this is the first time we had any major damage done. I am sorry that your dog did not settle in well here.
