My company asked that I get some estimates from several different printing companies, so I contact Essex Printing. Unfortunately, what I was not aware of is that over a year ago, a different division of my company had previously requested a quote from Essex Printing. The day after I drove out to this company to drop off samples of what I needed estimates on... and I was very clear I was looking for estimates, I received a call from the owner. Understandably, he was a little frustrated because he had given us quotes in the past... but as I explained to him, that was a different division of my company, and I was not aware of those quotes. He was rather rude, which I did not understand, and basically told me he was not interested in giving us a quote since we didn't work with him the last time we asked for estimates from him. I can understand being frustrated that we didn't use him in the past, but he had the name of the employee from my office that previously requested quotes from this printing company, and it very clearly wasn't me. His displaced rudness was uncalled for, and in my opinion very unprofessional.
