We took in half a dozen sweaters and a couple of scarves that had been stored. When we went to pick them up, one of the scarves had not been cleaned. It was a wool scarf which had never been worn, but smelled musty so we sent it to be cleaned. There was a little note attached that it had something on it that looked like eggs, and they ASSUMED it was BEDBUG eggs! (Never mind that bedbug eggs are too small to be seen without magnification.) It turns out that they were the (dead) eggs of clothes moths. The girls that work in this place are ignorant and offensive. I'll be talking to the manager tomorrow. Plus I had to demand a refund for the money I paid them in advance! It's back to Capitol Cleaners for us!

i have been using dry clean 3.99 for some time. about 6 months ago, i took a dress in to be dry cleaned. the dress had lots of beading around the neck; when the dress was returned to me, the beading was all messed up. the dress was not a super-important piece of clothing to me, though, so i didn't stress.



however, last week, i took in a formal dress to be cleaned. when i came back to get the dress, there was something red on the back of the dress (on a portion of fabric that was white, so it was very obvious). when i pointed it out to the attendants, they said they hadn't been sure if it was on there when i brought it or if it had "somehow" gotten on there after i dropped it off. i assured them that the only reason i had brought in the dress was because i had worn the dress on a hot day and had sweated. there were NO spots on the dress when i brought it in. it was obvious they had worked to get the red out - it had faded to pink, but all of the chemicals had stripped all of the shiny luster out of the fabric.



the manager offered to reimburse me for the dress. after a whole rigamarole, they have finally agreed to make good on that promise, but this whole thing has been a source of great frustration.



i have never had any problems with them dry cleaning my husband's business button-down shirts. i still haven't decided if i will take them there after all this...BUT i will definitely never take something that might need some "extra care" back to this dry cleaners.
