Provided by YP.comMy daughter ran away and i was treated horribly. They refused to arrest the 38 year old male that helped her run from Tucson Az to NY. The female trooper Yates or something treated me with nothing but disrespect and said...i quote.... Its not our problem. She was VERY rude and confrontational. God help us if this is thr best our staye has to help and keep us safe. And then she tried to take the credit for finding my daughter last summer when it was my family and i who did the leg work. However there wete a few excellent troopers. Trooper Mahoney and one other young man. To them...thank you so much

Provided by YPmobileI can't believe that I was a victim of racial profiling just today. I was taking my daughter to her gymnastics practice tonight in Central Square NY, she wasn't sure where it was exactly located. This was my first time driving her, usually my ex-wife takes her. On the way there were vehicles in ditches and an accident just as we got off at the Brewerton exit in front of the old Burger King. I was driving up US 11 and we past the gymnastics center because visibility was not that good and the roads were in a bad condition. I drove into the driveway of 215 US 11 the next residence past the center with the intention of turning around. I put my van in park and turned around to check if it was safe to back out of the driveway and I was hit on the rear bumper on the drivers side. I got out to see if the other driver was ok and not injured and to inspect the damage. She said she saw my van and panicked and lost control and hit me. After waiting a 1/2 an hour a sheriff patrol and a NY State trooper SUV pulled in. We described the accident to both officers and they immediately came to the conclusion that I must have back into on coming traffic. The other driver explained to the trooper that she wasn't sure if I was moving, but she thought she saw reverse lights. I told the officer I wasn't moving at all, that I was completely in the driveway with my vehicle in park. He said he didn't know how to write up the report or who was at fault. I asked why, because the other driver had already explained that she panicked when she saw me, pressed her brake, her car slid and she lost control. He said he didn't know who to believe. Both our interpretations of the accident were the same, why would he be confused. After an hour of debate and humiliation of this confusion I said if I were not a black man out here in the sticks then he might understand what we both had explained several times. The trooper asked why I had to bring race into the situation, he said, "my mother has a black friend". I was in total disbelief of his remark. I told him that's was a racist statement by even saying that. If you are not of the Caucasian race and someone panics and loses control of their vehicle and hits a stationary vehicle, be careful. The Hastings State troopers will still find you somehow at fault. I told the officer even if I was parked on the street or the rear end of my vehicle was in the road the oncoming traffic has to beware of objects in front of them and yield or slow down or even stop. I was not moving forward or backward. I was completely stationary. The other driver told the officer she wasn't sure if I was moving, but she saw me and lost control. How in America can this in anyway be my fault.
