While deployed in the Middle East my car registration expired. When I returned home I my vehicle was missing. I was informed that the HOA had my car towed by Battlefield towing. Neither the HOA or the towing company bothered to inform me. I guess it was too much trouble to send a text, make a phone call, send an email, or send a letter to me or to my landlord. But then why would they inform me since they were charging me $50 a day for each day the car was in their possession without my knowledge. I had to pay $1,185 to get my car back! I appealed the HOA’s decision at their Board meeting but it was denied. Being deployed on short notice and for an indefinite period of time is difficult enough without the added complications of returning home to find your vehicle gone and a huge bill waiting for you.
