So one person has a bad end result...(Libel by legal definition is the publication of a defamatory remark or false statement) Harper Creek Stable is a wonderful facility!!! I have only been boarding at the stables for a short time, however, the care and consideration that my horses and I receive cannot be measured. To put it in simple terms, if you pay your board and take proper care of your horses you will be able to enjoy all of the benefits that Harper Creek Stables has to offer, including large pasture, feed, security, indoor arena, safe area, and assistance with training or injuries. The amount of knowledge, camaraderie, concern, and laughter has no bounds at this stable.

I have been a boarder at HCS now for 8+ years. This family owned and operated business has been wonderful to me and a lot of others that I have seen come here.



When I came here I had never owned a horse of my own, but had always wanted to. They have taken the time to instruct me in the proper handling, maintenance (health), and training of my horse and myself.



The daughter of the owners handpicked my horse for me based on our personalities, I wish everyone wanting a horse had this experienced lady do that for them. The family environment, friendliness and down to earth atmosphere, makes this a wonderful place to be able to go. I also like being able to refer others to go here for lessons, lease a space or to buy a horse. The owners are wonderful people with years of knowledge and experience. They care about the animals and make sure they have the necessary food, water and bedding needed to maintain their health.



On occasion my horse has been hurt, however, I know as an owner that they are heard animals and have a pecking order. I expect to see some kind of marks from other horses. If I look and don’t feel that an injury was caused by another horse, I let the owners know and they always come and look at my horse. They will also check the pasture and make sure to get rid of any situation where a horse may be getting hurt. If my horse was in need of medical attention, all I would have to do is ask and the owners would make sure my horse was hauled to the vet, as I don’t have my own trailer.



I pay my board on time and maintain my stalls so that my horses are not standing in a wet mess that could cause them health issues. I also make sure that my horse has the proper shots, worming, feet trimming and dental work they need to maintain their health throughout the year. That is my responsibility as their owner, I do not expect that to be on anyone else, just me.

I have been boarding my horse there for a few years now and have had no problems at all. I am not able to be out there much and i know that in the time when I'm gone, my horse will be taken well care of. If the weather is bad, they bring him in for me. If the weather is good they'll let him out. Everyone out there is so nice and fun to be around. They will help you with anything you need. I have learned alot from them and it is a family-like environment. I love boarding out there and i would recommend it to anyone.

I've boarded my miniature horse at Harper Creek Stable for over 3 years now. I have found the owners and their family to be knowledgeable, caring and very friendly. Honesty when dealing with people is important to me. The owners have always treated me fairly and I have absolutely no complaints. In return, as a responsible boarder, I always strive to pay my monthly board on time.



My little mare is well cared for and the few times she has shown any symptoms of illness (for example, she typically has a mild reaction to her annual vaccinations), they keep in contact with me and care for her as if she was their own. I could easily bring my mare home, but I enjoy the camaraderie of the stable and I really love the indoor arena so I can work with her in all weather conditions.



Are there prettier or fancier places to board your horse? Sure, but the price of board is reasonable here and they didn't even raise it, though the cost of hay sky-rocketed this year, The owners and their family take great care of the animals and are easy to do business with. The vast majority of the people who board there are friendly, down-to-earth people that I'm happy to call friends. I'd highly recommend Harper Creek Stables for boarding and lessons.

Harper Creek Stables is a wonderful boarding facility!!! It is extremely reasonable in price. My horses receive quality nutrition and care. I have always felt comfortable with keeping my horses here. I have contemplated building and keeping my horses at my house but have not because I love the security of knowing my horse is always being watched out for by very knowledgeable stable owners. On a couple occasions, I have received calls notifying me that a problem had come with my horse, but that they took care of her, and she is now fine. You cannot beat that kind of help! Also, I don't think I could keep a horse at my house for any cheaper. When I started out there, I was new to horses and took riding lessons. The lesson horses were very safe and the instructor knows so much about equitation! I have learned a lot over my seven years of being there!! I bought my first horse from them five years ago as a project. With their help, I have trained her myself- something I could not have done without them. I could not be more pleased with my purchase and the things I have learned!! They have provided me with additional learning opportunities being the location of Wayward Wind's Miniature Horse Breeding. I have learned a lot about reproduction, training, and showing of the minis! I also enjoy the atmosphere and the people out there. It is perfect location (only 5 minutes from TSC and other stores) and yet so peaceful with roads to ride down with minimum traffic. I love how the owners and other borders are always willing to help. I always feel safe riding out there. The indoor riding arena is great! I am so thankful for it so that I can ride year round! My horses enjoy the large pasture to graze in and the opportunity to socialize with other horses. The barn activity allows for the horses to see and experience new things, which is great stimulation and great acclimation for any horse that may travel to a new place (I personally show horses so this makes me confident that my horses will adjust to the activity at a show ground). I cannot say enough good things about this stable and cannot imagine boarding anywhere else!

I've been a boarder at Harper creek stables for 14 years. I've had opportunities and request to go to other stables and chose to stay. The owners and family are great people and the boarders are all amazing.

I just started boarding at Harper creek stables in late August of 2012. I don't think there is one negative thing I can say about that place. My miniature horse has been perfectly healthy ever since he's been there. And it's affordable to board there too. I love all the people there. Always willing to help or lend you something. The owners know a bunch of stuff about horses. Whenever I have a question, they have the answer. I love going out to the stables!

I cannot say enough good things about this stable. i have been a boarder for a few years now and before i boarded there i took riding lessons for about a year. everyone is super nice and welcoming. whenever i needed help with anything there was always someone willing to help me out. the owners and the owners daughter have years and years of horse knowledge whether its about breeding, sickness, training, or breaking a horse, they know just about everything! i have never run into any problems with anyone out there.

I have had the best of luck with my time at Harper Creek Stables. The owners of the stable are well versed in the equine world, and would never hesitate to help anyone in need. Ever. I would suggest the place to anyone for lessons, the owners have a very special way of working with people, and have achieved great amounts of success through teaching lessons. The facilities could use an update, but never to the extent that I fear for my horses safety. The indoor arena is VERY NICE. I always feel comfortable when I am at the barn, and I never fear that I will be falsely accused or spoken of.
