Eric Von Dar is truly an icon in Chambersburg! I am new to the area so I asked people in town who was the best tattoo artist with the cleanest studio. Every single person said to go to Eric Von Dar. I LOVE my new custom tattoo and I will never go any where else! Eric did a wonderful job working with me to customize my tattoo and he was very friendly and professional. People ask me all the time who did my tattoo and I proudly say Eric Von Dar!

I went to this place 4 days ago and had a horrible experience! Eric didn't say a word to me and didn't even go over the cleaning procedures. He also pierced me with a small stud (nose) knowing that it had no space for swelling AND it wasn't secured in my nose. For someone who has been in this industry for a while I would hope they would have a little more professionalism than that. The nose ring ended up falling out while I was cleaning it and I went to another place to fix it. I'm a proud owner of 7 tattoos and 5 piercings, none of which hurt as much as Eric. He lost grip on the small nose ring and jammed it several times into my very new wound. If I didn't know better I'd say he was a rookie. If you want a professional, please don't go there. Research another place. He's not worth the money and might of lost his love for what he does.

Eric Von Dar Elite Tattooing is truly elite. I have had two tattoos and one piercing done by Mr. Von Dar, both custom pieces, and he does fantastic work at a reasonable price. I would never go anywhere else. The studio is clean, friendly and professional. I highly recommend Elite Tattoo to all of my friends considering getting a tattoo.

I had my nose pierced at this studio by Eric Von Dar. Being an established business that has been around for a very long time, I thought I had made the right decision. I couldn't have been more wrong. I returned to the studio 3 x post procedure after becoming concerned about persistent redness. I had meticulously followed the aftercare instructions. I felt I may be reacting to nickel or some other metal allergy. I purchased a quality piece of jewelry elsewhere, which Eric inserted for me. The problem persisted and escalated to a painful bump.The attitude of the piercer towards me was very dismissive and not the least bit helpful. Seemed reluctant to suggest anything. I'm glad I sought a second opinion. However the delay in appropriate treatment resulted in an epidermoid cyst on my nose which required surgical intervention. My physician confirming a "botched piercing". I cannot in good faith recommend anyone who brushes off or dismisses valid concerns from their customer.
