Franklin Middle School is a learning center that provides a range of educational services for more than 550 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes physical education, math, science, language arts and social studies. The school also offers special education programs for gifted and talented students. Franklin Middle School s extracurricular activities include choral, band and orchestra. In addition, it maintains a parent-teacher association and library and organizes baseball, volleyball and basketball tournaments. The school operates a student council and chess and drama clubs. Franklin Middle School provides membership opportunities in the National Junior Honor Society. It is a part of Champaign Community Unit School District 4.
