I am certified in abdominal transplant surgery by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) and board certified by the European Board of Surgeons. I am a member of the ASTS, the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), the European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT) and the Americas/ International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Associations (AHPBA/ IHPBA). I have a license to practice surgery and abdominal transplant in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. I am a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) and of the European Board of Surgeons, and board-certified by the Hellenic Surgical Society. I am a member of ILTS DEI Committee, Transplant Oncology, and DCD, Preservation & Machine Perfusion Special Interest Groups. I also serve as ESOT Global Transplant Ambassador, ESOT Vanguard Committee Member, and Examiner for the European Board of Surgeons, Division of Transplant. In addition to clinical work, I am dedicated to improving transplant and complex surgical care through research. I have spearheaded international comparative studies in the use of extended criteria liver allografts in general, transplant, pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery and have co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications, in journals such as the American Journal of Transplant, Transplantation, Annals of Surgery, British Journal of Surgery, Nature Communications, the Lancet, and the New England Journal of Medicine. I have been a peer reviewer and special issue editor for high impact journals. Through my work, I aspire to leave a lasting mark, not only through excellence in patient care, but also by advancing the field of transplantation.
