If possible I would have given Dr. Keyser zero stars... when I visited Dr. Keyser, I was honest about not visiting a dentist in about 1 1/2 years. I also told him I was prone to cavities and knew I would have at least 2. Unfortunately, I think Dr. Keyser tried to take advantage of my openness; after some poking around in my mouth he said I had FOURTEEN cavities and that I would need extensive work done- supposedly I would at least need one crown and 2 inlays (each costing a grand). When I heard this I started to cry in his chair. He said that he could fix my problem by creating (an expenisve) mold of my teeth which could hold cavitiy fighting gel in it.
After leaving, I realized his "diagnosis" had to be ridiculous. I'm 22 years old, brush twice a day, and knew he couldn't know that I needed all these crowns and inlays by just looking at my teeth and NOT TAKING A SINGLE XRAY. After a week he sent me a quote for $6,000. I visited another dentist for a 2nd opinion. Ends up I had only 4 cavities None requiring fancy work. total? $400.
DON'T GO HERE.

As a college student i can sympathize with CHSTUDENT person as I once left Dr. Keyser for a second opinion thinking there was no way that I could have 6 cavities in my mouth. My thinking was that if i had been flossing once a week, brushing twice a day, and swishing Listerine as if were going out of style there was NO WAY that I could have that many cavities. My second opinion Dentist told me I had two cavities and we ended up filling them. Several months later I ended up having more mouth pain and revisiting the second Dentist to solve these new problems. Only thing was that they were not new problems, they were the same teeth Dr. Keyser had diagnosed months earlier along with one of the new fillings the second Dentist had supposedly fixed! I ended up going back to Dr. Keyser and we fixed everything. Now I have a healthy mouth and plans to fix the other filling from the second Dentist as it was done with cheaper materials and has already started giving me problems. Thank goodness for Dr. Keyser! My conclusion in this is that Dr. Keyser has a gift for diagnosing. Much like an engineer can look at a building and tell you it's in disrepair, Dr. Keyser can look at your teeth and tell you what's in store for you and how to prevent it. As for CHSTUDENT... GOOD LUCK down the road with all those problems! Hindsight is always twenty-twenty, and like the old adage, I learned that you really do get what you pay for! Dr. Keyser is an awesome Dentist and is the only one I would recommend to people if they value quality and peace of mind.
