Ludy Tree Care opened its doors in 1976. That’s over thirty years ago and we have learned a lot, including a good bit from our best customers. And we continue to learn every day. Our close-knit, experienced team of residential tree care specialists put their lives in each other’s hands every day. That’s what happens when you mix hazardous trees with men suspended fifty, sixty, seventy feet in the air and chain saws. Here are two things you might want to consider before you choose a Tree Service company: Is the company insured? We have been doing this work long enough to know that things will never be 100% predictable. We do everything we can to work safely, but even after over thirty years in the business we still get surprised occasionally. That’s why from the very beginning, we have carried liability insurance to pay for any damage to our customer’s property. In addition, we carry insurance on our workers, so if they get injured, they are guaranteed good medical treatment and reimbursement for lost wages. There is only one sure way to know if the tree company you are considering hiring has adequate coverage and that is to have their insurance agent provide you with a certificate of insurance which has your name and address on it. Acceptable methods of delivery of the certificate are by fax, e-mail or snail mail sent directly from your insurance agent. This authentication is important. A fake document would not be of much use to you if you have a claim. Are the services really necessary? We are always on the look out for ways to save our customers money. And we can help you figure out what’s necessary and what’s not. Frankly, it is just not fun either selling or doing work which makes no sense to us. For example, beware of companies advertising deep root fertilization. With the heavy red clay we have to work with here in the Research Triangle, most tree roots do not go down any further than a foot, so what benefits would result from nutrients placed below the root zone? If you do not know, ask. At Ludy Tree Care, we love talking about trees. If you have a question or would like to consult with us, we look forward to hearing from you soon. Scratch beneath the surface and you will find we have the depth of experience you need. Tree pruning. Tree removals and clean-up. Consultations. Growing Japanese maples. With over thirty years of learning, sharing and working throughout the Chapel Hill, Durham, Fearrington, Hillsborough and Pittsboro area, you can count on us for straight answers, hard work, experienced hands and practical evaluations. Always. Your backyard, front yard and side yard will be in good hands. Not to mention your trees and home.
