I had heard a lot about NC pulled pork. This place delivered on all the build up, big time. Delectable: One bite was worth the life of the poor pig who was chopped in half, and smoked for days. Its a cruel world, but if we must eat animals, (and we must) than this place is the way to do it. The hot dogs were different from the big city street dogs I have eaten for so many years. They were better. Go to this place, especially if your not from NC and you want to know what bbq and fixins are really supposed to taste like.

The Pig continues to deliver t...

The Pig continues to deliver top notch Carolina Barbeque. The Pigs are farm raised without the industrial hormones and especially butchered of the shop. The pulled pork is especially juicy sweet and succulent. The ribs are the meatiest ribs you are likely to find anywhere. The home made bacon is especially good. Of special sides, the fried green tomatoes are crispy and lightly tart. I am not fond of the potato salad but the greens are tasty. I especially like them with a dash of Texas Pete. This restaurant is only a couple of miles from my home and is a restaurant I like to take out-of-towners for a simple example of Carolina barbeque. If you have room the desserts are worth a try. The restaurant is itself quite simple with no frills. If you want atmosphere I suggest getting the food to go.
