The law firm is situated in a college town and is one of only a few law firms in that town. The rates and billing charged by this firm are particularly high given the nature of cases they hear and work/effort exerted. Similarly the billing hours listed does not seem to correspond with the effort exerted. Communication between the law firm and its client is poor, during our particular case the initial lawyer assigned to the case reassigned the case in the middle of the case without notification to us. The day of court (hours before the scheduled time) it was brought to our attention that a balance was due and if it was not paid the law firm would not represent us, this after a 50% down payment was made.
