BEWARE-DO NOT use this florist. I wish I could give them a zero as well. My daughter ordered flowers as a surprise to be delivered the same day. They did not arrive. The next day someone called and said they had a delivery and would I be home over the next several hours? I changed my plans and waited because my daughter was upset her gift never arrived the day before. By 5pm I called the number on my phone to say I had to leave at 6pm. Whoever answered said "the driver is stuck in traffic-I'll tell him to hurry". The flowers never arrived. Two days later, I reached the owner of the Florist-Betty. She stated someone tried to deliver the flowers two days before and no one was home. My daughter wanted it to be a surprise and did not leave those instructions-and I was home most of the day. The driver then lied and said the order did not come in until the next day and "she couldn't find our house and didn't have a GPS." The owner didn't want to talk to me and hung up initially-I continued to persist calling her shop back. So I have given up a days time, a bunch of cell phone minutes and my young daughter is out the money for professional flowers that someone got paid for and did not deliver. Very poor business-they shouldn't be used by any FTD services for sure. Very frustrating to try to figure out who is lying and if a delivery is going to take place, especially in a condolence situation.

I was so excited over the fact...

In March 2013

I was so excited over the fact that I was going to surprise my girlfriend with her favorite flowers that I didn't look at any reviews prior. I made my purchase online and realized I had made a mistake in the note that I wanted to be sent with the arrangement. I contacted the store and the manager was extremely nice. She told me to send her an email of the corrections I wanted and that she'll take care of it. This all happened at around 10 am. Later that day, my girlfriend hadn't mentioned anything about receiving any flowers so I started looking at reviews for Blossoms and my heart sank. I knew from then she was never going to get this arrangement.

I called the store at 4 pm and I asked what time they send their flowers out and the manager immediately became defensive and she abruptly stated that no one was there to answer the door. I think that obviously the answer would have been... of course people aren't there to receive their deliveries because people work, that's why you ask for the phone numbers of the recipients and purchaser during the purchase. So she said that didnt deliver them and I was so upset that I forgot to ask why they didn't call. I also felt naive because I wanted to believe this person. So I told her that she could leave the flowers at the door next time and her voice immediately perked up as if to say "Oh Really?! So you're actually giving us permission to just leave them?" Because she lives in a nice, gated community in Charleston.

Well, next day rolls around, still no flowers. Nowhere to be see in the complex. I called again and asked what time the delivery went out and she said it arrived at 250pm and they left it at the door because I said to. Once again, "no one came to the door" but once again they did not call. But this time, someone was home the entire day. Not once was there a knock at the door.

When I called back again on Monday, just to let her know that it wasn't delivered, the manager became extremely defensive and started attacking me for letting her know that the flowers were not delivered. She was adament in stating that they delivered it and my specific instructions were to leave it at the front door and she would not accept the fact that it was impossible for someone to have knocked and not answered the door. She just would not let me talk and she told me that "the customer is not always right" and that they don't do busiiness that way and I told her that "well, according to reviews on the internet, you do" and that set her off. She kept telling me that it was because of people like me, that businesses like hers keep going out of business.

At the end of it she said, I don't have time to deal with this, I'm very busy, so just give me your address and I'll send you a check for a refund. So I gave her my address. I'll expect the check to be delivered in the same manner the flowers were... never.

June 2013: UPDATE

3 months later, STILL NO REFUND.

WARNING: DO NOT USE BLOSSOMS & STEMS, the manager is operating a failing business and takes shortcuts, blames issues on customers.

This place is awful, I ordered flowers for my mother's 60th birthday on Tuesday to be delivered on her birthday Friday to her office. It is currently Saturday and after calling several times, they finally answered the phone and apologized for not delivering them to her office, said they would have it delivered to her house today before 1pm, it is now after 1 and my father says they have not arrived yet! I am fuming...they debited my account when I ordered online and have not done one thing they said they would....the reason they gave for not delivering to her job on Friday was that the delivery guy dropped the vase....ok but I did not get a call or anything they just didn't bring them! I am kicking myself for using these people without looking at the reviews first. I want a refund! Worst florist experience hands down.

Awful service. Flowers dead within 2 days and owner could care less. No phone manners. How they are in business is beyond me. With so many other florists to use,

forget about this business and go with someone else. They truly do not even deserve a star.

I wish i read the other review...

I wish i read the other review posted before i ordered with Blossoms & Stems. My experience was not a pleasant one. Like most people I ordered a plant for delivery based on the picture and description on the website. In my case it was a 'Money Tree' which is a nice little desk top tree with green leaves that is supposed to bring good luck (and wealth.) They sent a 'elkhorn Fern' which does not look anything like what i ordered – it looks like an elkhorn. When i called to ask what happened they said they didn’t have the money tree but my paperwork said i agreed to something similar if they were out... i guess they have some fine print on internet orders. Anyway, instead of offering to correct the situation they said they had the right - and this is a direct quote - "to send anything green." Wow. That’s a recipe to rip people off. That plus the snotty attitude sent me straight to write this review. Do yourself a favor and order from a real florist.

terrible

I was trying to receive a delivery from them. They told me twice they would call me right back, to me that is not an hr later...so I called them back and they couldn't answer the question of when the flowers could be delivered and once again they'll call me right back. I never heard back from them. So the next day I call at 10:50 and the delivery truck is already out and my flowers are not on the truck. Why? I ask...because they say they were unable to get in touch with me. Funny because I was waiting for a call back. They said if they couldn't get a time when I would be home they would have to cancel my order. No problem!! I'll have the sender cancel it.

Customer service is TERRIBLE!!!! I will never recommend blossoms and stems!!! Attitude on phone and no follow through.

Never, ever use this florist o...

Never, ever use this florist or rely on them. They are rude, perpetually late, and unreliable. I would choose to have no flowers at all rather than purchase a single stem from this florist. Save your money!! They do not deserve a single star. In fact, if there were such a thing as negative stars, I would award them that.
