Provided by YP.comI can understand why there are some folks on here that aren't too happy. I mean you know something's off when you work in an office that always faxes their orders just because they want documented proof of what they ordered. However, every time I went in the store, the experience was okay. They are always pretty busy so they can't be super attentive to every customer but I've only had one employee be borderline rude. The food is really good though. I love the salad bar.

Provided by YP.comThe food at East Bay Deli is excellent! Very fresh and I love the variety. Their french fries are dangerous, they are so yummy! In looking at the reviews on here, you'd think that they suck. But then I looked at them again and 6 of them were written on the exact same day...hmmmm, did someone get in a snit and decide to trash this place like a freakin' crybaby? Looks like it to me. Those reviews are crap. Love this place!

Provided by YP.comFor a NY style deli, it is no bad. The corned beef was good and the meal was a little less than $10. Its in a fantastic location and seems to always be busy.

Provided by YP.comEast Bay Deli employees and the Owner need to be retrained. If I'm giving you my money, I expect to have my food the way I like it, not the way you want it. If that was the case they should provide free food to everyone. The owner doesn't care about his customer, the employees don't care, who cares? What a shame.

Provided by YP.comI hate to say it but I can see why East Bay Deli on East Bay St. is getting bad reviews. I went there today and now I'm sick. The food wasn't nasty, the person that fixed my food was Nasty. Let's not talk about the customer service. To say you're in the heart of charleston you would think customer service would be on point. Right, the employees their needs a one on one training about customer service. Let's get it together East Bay.

Provided by YP.comEast Bay Deli (on east bay st.) has the worst customer service downtown. How could you treat your every day customers the way you do and expect to keep business? They will never get another penny from me!! I would never recommend anyone to go there again. They are the worst!!

Provided by YP.comAm I the only one with complaints, I think not. Today I placed an order and of course “It Was WRONG….. AGAIN” Not to my surprise!!! However what really upset me was the owner could care less about my issue with his company. He basically said it was my problem, not his “ WHAT THE…..?”. So in other words it was my problem that an East Bay Deli employee took my order down correct (how do I know it was written down correctly, because when I called back to express my concerns the same young lady read the order back to, she didn’t miss a beat). This was prior to me speaking with the OWNER, so they said he was the owner!! Basic on our conversation I think not. This must stop!!! Not only did they over charged me and never refund my money like they said they would. While placing the complete blame on me (the customer). I sure hope they treat the tourist that visits Charleston year round better then they treat the one’s that live here. If you want the worst customer service in Downtown Charleston South Carolina, EASTBAY DELI on East Bay St. is the place to go. Personally I’ll pass. I will never Eat at this location again and I’m sure I’m not the only one!!!

Provided by YP.comI placed an order with East Bay Deli Downtown and had it delivered to my work place. Day to day someone from my job order from this place and "EVERY" order has some type of error. Okay I know that we are all human and we all make mistakes. However when you have the owner of a company and his employees blaming everyone else everyday for mistakes that they've made! It really makes me angry. Being the owner of the company you would think one would want to make the repeat customers happy. Instead you (the owner) advise your customer that it's always a problem and it's not on the companies end. I have a big problem with that. Not only do you mess up my order, over charge me and then threw the blame my way. Can you say no more business for EAST BAY DELI Downtown Charleston S.C.. What ever happen to Great Customer Service? We are Very Unhappy with this company. I gave you one star, I don't think this location deserves that!!!! Very Poor Customer Service!!!!

Provided by YP.comCame recommended from a local we met is the tourist district. Along with Ted's Butcherblock next door. East Bay is like a New York style deli. The food is quite good as was the service at a reasonable price. Family of 4 about $40.00. Found the crowd to be mostly locals, which is good sign for me. Recommend try the Citadel.

Provided by YP.comThe people really went out of their way to make sure you received the best service possible. They were very hospitable, friendly, and it seemed like they all really enjoyed their job. I would not hesitate to go there again.
