When I made the reservation, my first hint should have been the stuck up attitude the desk clerk had. But I let it go, they were the only thing available for the 4th. We arrived at 3a.m. Which is what time I told the desk clerk we would be there, and he had an attitude while we checked in. He basically yelled at me through the intercom. But once again, we had traveled 4 hrs to get there, and it was the only thing available. We get into the room, which was a VERY tight fit. The Queen bed pretty much took up the entire room. The bathroom was small, the door almost hit the sink as you opened it. The water pressure in the shower was just awful. The mini fridge they provided in the room would have been nice, had it actually worked. To top it off, the rooms themselves were not clean at all. The coffee spoons still had coffee on them from the previous guests, as did the coffee pot. There was all kinds of junk behind the nightstands; cobwebs, food, trash, as well as under the bed. For what I paid for this room, I feel the room should have at least been clean. And if you have a truck or SUV be prepared to basically climb over the roof of your vehicle to get out, because the parking is a very tight fit.

The motel did however offer free wifi, a pool, and a short walk to the beach & shops. And the motel maids, even though they did a shoddy job at cleaning the rooms were very friendly and always seemed to have a smile on their face.



Overall, I probably would not stay at the Holliday Inn again. If it happens where nothing is available again, then we just won't go. I've seen better hospitality and cleanliness in some lower budget motels. And that's saying a lot.
