awesome shop!!! super clean, lil round was my artist and his work is amazing but all the artists are super friendly and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get a tattoo. im super impressed, I cant stop staring at my tattoo! I love it!

I went to Iron Lotus today (7-22-2013) as a walk in and was very pleased with my experience. When I walked in nobody was at the counter but was greeted by an artist with in a minute. I told him what I wanted and had it drawn up with in 15-20 mins. The place is every clean. All the artists were very nice and respectful from what I heard from their conversations. I HIGHLY recommend getting a tattoo done here. Prices are reasonable. They get it done quickly and are very friendly.

My first tattoo went swimmingly. It was exactly what I wanted. Justin is a sweet, experienced artist who put me at ease and made me feel like my simple, yet profoundly meaningful tattoo was the best ever.

I recently got a tattoo from Lil' Round at the Iron Lotus. First, the receptionist was polite, intelligent and very professional. She suggested a few artists based on what I was looking for. I looked through their portfolios. It was difficult to choose because all are true artists. I selected Lil' Round because some of his work looked much like the result I wanted. He and I discussed my tattoo at length and I made an appointment for the next day. This man spent more time discussing the tattoo before we started. When he was done, I had the work of art I had been dreaming of. Surgically clean, professional.

My tatoo artist was Justin Johnson & he exceeded my expectations. Fabulous artistry with great detail and realism. Justin drew a picture based on my idea of what I wanted and it was on point. He did not allow for interruptions and made sure thru out session I was comfortable. For anyone getting there first tatoo or for experienced individuals looking for new tatoos or adding additions to your existing artwork I would encourage you to stop by and see Justin. THANK YOU JUSTIN :) ..I would like to add to this review giving Iron Lotus its deserved compliments. I searched several tatoo parlors and Iron Lotus was by far the best parlor in Charleston and its surrounding areas. The location, cleanliness, hospitality and decor was outstanding. From the first greeting with Abby at the front desk thru the point my art was completed I was treated exceptional.

I got my first tattoo done by Dave, and I absolutely love it. The salon is so clean! It looks more like a spa than a tattoo shop. Dave did everything he could do to make sure I was happy with my tattoo. He was so friendly and me and my friends had a great time. The day after I got mine, my friend went back and got a tattoo from Dave as well. He was just as good the second time. If I ever get another tattoo, Dave is the only one who will be doing it. Such a great place.

I got my first tattoo with Jason at Iron Lotus, he drew up EXACTLY what I wanted first try and he was extremely thorough and made me feel extremely comfortable. He is a great artist my tattoo came out beautiful and I couldn't have imagined being any happier with it. Thank you so much Iron Lotus, I will be coming back for more :)

I have traveled the world in the Marine Corp. and have gotten tattooed in many shops. When coming to Charleston I researched 5 shops based on portfolios, info on the internet and visits to the shops. 3 of the shops I went to out of the Charleston area seemed a bit uninterested in helping me and 1 of those 3 smelled of cigarette smoke. I went to the next 2, one that had been voted the best and the other had great reviews. I don't know how the 1 shop got voted the best. It was full of bad attitude, was loud, and not very clean. The last one I went to I got greeted by a very inviting young lady at the counter and after explaining what I was wanting she promptly suggested the best artist for the job. He drew my tattoo in a reasonable amount of time and got started tattooing. The places was nicer than any tattoo shop I have ever been, plus the service to match. Let me save you some time. Iron Lotus is hands down the best in the area. Thanks Guys. See you when I get back.

I'm living here for the summer and have only heard of two tattoo parlors worth walking into, so I figured I'd check them both out. I gave one a phone call and spoke to a very rude artist who laughed at the idea of the tattoo I wanted to get and said it wasn't possible. REALLY?!? Forget that. Then I walked into Iron Lotus and met with the receptionist - super sweet. I asked her some tough questions that she wasn't completely sure how to answer, and so instead of rudely saying "No", she passed me on to the shop owner, Dave, who came out to talk to me, thought about it, and embraced the idea. Not only did he do it - he did it WELL. He was polite, happy to help, passionate about his work, and genuinely appreciative that I chose his shop.



Think about everything you want in your tattooing experience ... Iron Lotus is all that, plus a pool table. :)

This is by far the best looking/quality tattoo studio in the Charleston area! The staff is friendly and I was helped right away. After visiting the other studios in Charleston, I would never go anywhere else! I highly recommend Iron Lotus Studios to everyone! I am extremely satisfied with my tattoo!
