Provided by YP.comMy moped broke down on a bit far from home. Lowcountry Scooters was the only place available at the time to tow it, and I didn't want to risk it getting stolen. I explained to a guy on the phone named Mike that I was worried about letting them work on it. I told him about how the last time I brought it in to have the accelerator cable replaced I lost at least 5mph off the speed, and the staff were rude and nasty when I brought it back. Mike assured me he was the new owner and he's aware of all the complaints and he's "making things right" After the repair, I got it home and realized the brake light didn't work with the right-hand brake. I called Mike and he said to bring it in. When I brought it back to the shop, the mechanic started getting defensive and hostile, like I was trying to pick a fight or something. He insisted "well it must not've worked when you brought it in. I'll look at it but I'll have to charge you". I went into the showroom and said " Mike, didn't we talk about this?". He just made a helpless shrugging gesture. I guess Mike was lying when he said he owned the place. I will NEVER bring my scooter to Lowcountry Sccoters at 844 Sahannah Hwy again. NOTE: They are in the process of changing their name to Charleston Scooter Company.

Provided by YP.comI don't usually write reviews, but I feel a duty to warn people about this place. Perhaps I got them on a bad day (or several of them, because it took them several days to service my scooter---and I still had to wait over an hour for it to be done after they called me and said it was ready for pickup). They charged me twice what they quoted me and still screwed up my service. I had to take it to another mechanic two weeks later to fix an obvious problem that LC Scooter missed. And judging by some of the badmouthing the owner does to other scooter businesses, I'd say this place is about as unprofessional as they come.
My name is Carl Hall. I am the owner of Low Country Scooter. I read this review and was very concerned. First if you had a problem here I am very sorry. I try to make every customer of mine happy with our service and sales. I do not add anything to a customer’s bill unless they give me the ok before I perform the work. If you had more problems then originally estimated you would have been contacted with an update and a new quote would have been given with your ok needed for me to go further with any repairs. I was never contacted with any further problem or I would have taken care of it. I stand behind my product and service. You can call me at 843-793-1961 at any time to talk about this. As for bad mouthing other Scooter repair stores. I run a honest store and never feel the need to talk about other stores. I may say something about there product because I feel our product is better. I do feel are service is top of the line and would justify it to any customer looking for service.

Provided by YP.comI was amazed at the wonderful customer service and sales team at Low Country Scooter on Hwy 17. Carl (the owner) is knowledgable, friendly, and is great at setting up and educating new customers. We had limited knowledge walking into the business and came out knowing exactly what we needed. Both my wife and I strongly recommend Low Country Scooter to anyone in the tri-county area who is looking for scooter sales or service!
