I only gave a rating of 3 stars even though I've had compliments from other experienced auto window tint installers about the excellent quality of the install job I got. Another tint shop said "98% excellent"! The reason for only 3 stars is that I did not get a warranty card at the time of installation. They may have been out of them at the time, but they should have mailed me one later on. I went back to their tint shop a few months later and finally got one, but it was not filled out completely. It should have the code for the exact type of film, and the lot number of that film right on that card. Oh, and by the way, I say this only as a general rule of thumb, no matter who you decide to buy auto window tinting from in SC, always make sure you have the state mandated "stickers". The "South Carolina Code 56-5-5015. Sunscreen devices" calls those "stickers", "certificates of compliance". So, if your vehicle is registered in SC., that law says "(E) Each vehicle equipped with an after-factory sunscreening device, whether installed by a consumer or professional window tinter, at all times must bear a certificate of compliance." Also, "(G) No person may: (2) install any sunscreening product or material on vehicles titled for use on public roads without permanently affixing the certificate of compliance specified in this section." Then, "A consumer who violates the provisions of subsection (E) or (G) is guilty of a misdemeanor triable in magistrate's court and, upon conviction, must be fined not less than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than thirty days for each offense." I understand that these "stickers" are somewhat expensive for some installers to buy, so some tint shops may not use them, or may be out of them at the time of your install. Just make sure you ask any, and every, tinting installer you talk to, if "stickers" will be put on your car, before you buy.
