Worst Customer Service EVER!! Tried to use a coupon, and was denied because of a difference in time zones, even though no mention was made in the ad.

The real problem came when I emailed customer service with my problem. The "owner" responded with the most negative, sarcastic reply. Here's one of the great emails sent to me by the owner of



Dearest ******,

We are so sorry we lied by not putting Eastern Standard Time on our banner for the sale. Obviously this was done to lie to customers. Of the hundreds and hundreds of pipes we've sold, finally someone has shed light on our deceitful practices. We'll definitely be changing our ways. Hopefully this email meets your standards for professionalism in the glass industry. I'm even going to type my name at the bottom here. Once again, we are so sorry we lied to you, and not taking a professional tone with you in our email responses, we're just horrible people out to screw over other people. We'll try to change. Have an amazing day!!!!!!!!!

There is no reason to respond to customers in this tone. I only wanted an answer to my problem, not to be verbally attacked by the "owner" of SC Tobacco.

I was surprised to read so many negative reviews about Purple Haze because I have had nothing but great experiences there. The employees are very friendly and helpful, the selection is quite good, and the prices are very fair as well. In fact, I had to return a product that didn't function properly and they gladly exchanged it, no questions asked. I thought it was possible people were confusing Purple Haze (the good shop) with similarly named Purple Music (the bad shop). Purple Music is behind Walgreen's on the corner of Camp & Folly Roads and the negative reviews I read on here match the experiences I've had the 2 times I went to Purple Music. In fact, I've been treated so well at Purple Haze I felt compelled to write this review in the event I was correct about people confusing the 2 shops. If you did have a bad experience at Purple Haze, I'm sorry and VERY surprised because as I said, they've always been great to me.

My boyfriend and i came into purple haze and bought one of there Magnum Detox drinks which was there most expensive detox product. The product had FAILED and not only did we bring it to there attention they had removed his review from there site! They are one of the lowest tobacco and pipe shops i have ever been to and coming from COLORADO where the people are WAY more knowledgeable about there products i will NEVER return to there shotty store again! BIGGEST rip off EVER! Find another tobacco/ pipe shop to go to cause these guys are completely ignorant on there products!

Deborah hit it right on the nose. That place is all of that and more, including the +++hole that works there. Don't waste your time or money in this place, you WILL regret it. And I agree on one things, the dog is pretty cool. I call for a boycott for this place and send them back to Myrtle Beach. We don't want them here and we certainly don't need them here.

New shop on James Island & at first glance it appears this shop has a lot of inventory, but it is just more of the same. 8 to 10 of the exact same thing. There are better shops (one with a similiar name) just a few blocks away with a much better selection and better prices. + they've been around a long time with a good local following . . . One the bright side, the shop dog was cool.
