Provided by YPmobile4 solid Stars! CJ and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and provide Top Notch service with out rushing you or bugging you. A perfect touch! Clean and tidy, interior is a little post modern and unpretentious cross between a 1950’s Diner and today’s average fast food joint walled with interesting and eclectic local art. But don’t let that fool you. The kitchen is obviously the heart, soul and focus here. The menu is updated twice daily for lunch and supper. Ingredients and dishes are selected based on locally sourced fresh ingredients. The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about each dish and answer any questions you have as if you were speaking with the Chef his/herself. The wine list is limited like the local ingredients but just as choice. I started with the Shrimp Toast - MONEY HONEY!- a $2 dynamite must have!!! I selected to have the fried quail entree with fries and Carolina Gold Rice and was not disappointed. The quail were perfectly fried and fresh. The French fries were good, but contrary to their claim on the menu, not the best ever- but still very good. The rice was another interesting take on a purloo and I was well pleased. Kennedy, my server, was excellent, knowledgeable, professional and very kind.
Don’t let the looks fool you. Open the door, walk inside and expect to be amazed!

Provided by YP.comSeasonal local food promises. Want a chicken dinner then make a prepaid reservation by Monday at 100…to give them time to marinate, specially prepare just for you. After all this you have high expectations, right? Well, what you get is tough, overcooked, dried out chicken and as a final kiss off it is overpriced. I am at a total loss to understand the false hype about their chicken.:(

Provided by YP.comVery over priced for very bland and basic food. Hours of operation seem to cater to the owners. Their so called bacon was a big slab of fat. My fiance almost threw up from a bite of it. I would avoid this restaurant and go across the street to Triangle Bar and Char. This place needs to rethink their prices and their whole menu.

Provided by YP.comGlass Onion disapointing -- Today, I took 3 friends (two visiting from North Carolina, one from Colorado) for brunch at The Glass Onion.
I had told them how great the food and service was and they were very excited to try it. One friend ordered the quiche Lorraine, only to be told later that the quiche was not ready and was forced to make another choice. Another friend and I ordered the gumbo, which was served without rice since apparently someone had forgotten to make rice. At the register, we were offered about $1 off the gumbo since it came with no rice. I'm not from New Orleans, but is rice-less gumbo really traditional gumbo?
Wikipedia has the correct definition of gumbo. Perhaps the owners and staff of this purportedly cajun eatery should visit this article to be brought up to date:
