The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia is spread over an area of more than 240,000 square feet. The center features Maier Foundation Performance Hall, which has a seating capacity for up to 1,800 people. It also maintains Walker Theater, which can accommodate up to 200 people. The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia operates a gift shop that offers jewelry, glassware and educational games. The center organizes several public programs and events, such as workshops, camps and lectures. Its Intermezzo Caf serves various daily lunch specials. The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia houses Avampato Discovery Museum, which organizes science exhibitions.
