Members Choice WV Federal Credit Union Facts The credit union was chartered on November 10, 1942 as a credit union for railroad employees. In July 1997, our name officially changed to Members Choice WV Federal Credit Union. We were formerly known as CONRAIL Credit Union. On May 8, 2000, we opened for business in a brand new building built just for our members located at 201 Ohio Avenue on the West side of Charleston. The credit union has served employer groups who were not large enough to form their own credit union, but wanted to offer their employees credit union service at no cost to the employer. Currently, we serve over sixty employer groups in Charleston and recently received our Community Charter. This change was implemented after recognizing the need for an expanded field of membership, allowing more people to gain access to the many benefits of Members Choice WV Federal Credit Union. With the new charter, Members Choice is now serving people who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school and businesses or other legal entities in Kanawha County, West Virginia. We're proud to announce this community charter, and are very excited to have the opportunity to serve ALL of Kanawha County. Members Choice WV FCU is committed to offering a complete range of financial services to everyone. Our Manager/CEO is Doris Cunningham who has held this position for over twenty years. The Board of Directors are all volunteers elected by the membership at an annual meeting held each year. We are governed by the laws of National Credit Union Administration ( NCUA ) relating to credit unions, its articles of incorporation and bylaws adopted by the board and approved by NCUA.
