Health Department of Northwest Michigan has operated as the official health department serving the residents and visitors of Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet and Otsego counties since 1930. The key to the agency's longevity has been its continuing ability to adapt to the changing conditions of the communities which it serves.As mandated by the Michigan Public Health Code, our mission is to promote wellness, prevent disease, provide quality healthcare, address health problems of vulnerable populations, and protect the environment for the residents and visitors in our communities
