I was hired at the american red cross in charlotte to work in the call center of Nov 17,2014 and was fired on Nov 20 2014 because of a hearing disability. Dont take a job here. The management and training staff has no legal training especially in human resouorces. They told me that they didnt think that I could do the job because of a hearing loss. I hear just fine over the phone. I might have a little problem hearing soft voices but it doesnt effect my speaking on the phone. They fired me and told me to get a hearing aide and then if I wanted I could reapply. Did not give me a chance on the phones to see how I did. They told me that I possibly would not be able to get anothere job unless I got a hearing aide. Dont work here.. The american red cross is a great organization but guarenteed if you dont keep up with your quota every month, YOU WILL BE GONE.... They dont care one bit about the employees. I did file a formal complaint with the EEOC I have given a statement to an attorney
