My daughter had a serious allergic reaction and had to go to the ER. I needed a refferal from my provider (BP-Steelecroft) & Dr. Twerti denied the refferal to an allergy center. They wanted to wait for her to have ANOTHER reaction instead when he ER gave me strick directions to get an refferal to Carolina Allergy Center 2-3 days from when it occurreddd! I ended up leaving the practice and took my daughter to a different pediatric who gave me the refferal... come to find out my daughter NEEDED AN JR EPI PEN! This was a serious matter and I could of lost my daughter due to her throat closing up if it wasn't for me changing my provider and getting the care she needed. The staff is unprofessional. The manager Keisha is VERY unprofessional and has no clue what is going on in the office. Shelia and Tyeisha need proper training and gave out incorrect medical information and are very rude. This practice is only concern about getting money from your insurance company, not the risks and health of your child! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MEDICAL PROVIDER TO ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT THEIR CHILD. They also only had one dr working the week this happen. Only 3 work there in the 1st place. Poorly organized. I should of left them when they didn't catch the pneumonia my daughter had a few months before this incident! DO NOT GO HERE if you have the best interest for your child!
