Problem: Our car would not start.
We thought that the alternator was not charging the batttery. My son-in-law, my daughter and I took an alternator in to Dave to have it checked. Within 5 minutes he noticed that the regulator was not working properly. He replaced it and we took it back and installed it on the car. Dave said if we would bring the car back he would check out the entire system. Which he did. He noticed right away that the alternator was producing volts, but it was not getting to the battery. He also noticed that the starter sounded bad.

What he found:
The alternator had a bad connection. The oil filter was loose and had leaked down onto the starter and had ruin the burshes.

What he fixed:
Dave replaced the bad alternator wire.
Tighten the oil filter
Removed the starter and repaired the brushes and replaced the coil.
Sent his wife Carrie to get 2 quarts of oil to replinish the oil in the car.

Dave is proactive in finding the problems. Their prices are very reasonable as well.

Dave and Carrie saved us money and time. It is comforting to trust someone like Carolina Auto Electric to look after your car and it's electrical system.

I will use them again for any electrical problems on the engine. I will also highly recommend them to anyone who has simular electrical problems.
