Provided by YPmobileI visited Dr. Williams in her office on a Friday and had two teeth extracted. I was in pain the entire weekend, even with the pain medication she prescribed. On Sunday I phoned her in the afternoon and received a call back at 11pm at night and missed the call. On Tuesday I spoke with the office and scheduled an appointment at 2:15pm. I arrived and was greeted by Dr. Williams who looked at my tooth and said it seems to be healing nicely. I asked her where the pain was coming from that was in the top and bottom jaw line and radiating through booth of my ears causing severe mouth and ear pain. Dr. Williams began reiterating our conversation from the phone call where I stated that I went to my local pharmacy the night before asking if there was something I could buy over the counter or do to relieve my pain. The pharmacist said its possible you have a Dry Socket where the blood clot is not longer protecting the opening and the bone can be exposed and allowing air to enter and create the pain. When I shared this with the doctor, she became infuriated with me and said that he should not have told me this; even though she stated I probably did have a dry socket. She said he did not go to medical school! She said that when I came into her office she would insert a medicated stuffing or something of that nature that would relieve the pain. Now back to the doctors office where the doctor stated that in order to treat me I would have to have confidence in her. I stated that I wouldn't be there if I didn't have confidence in her. I asked her if she could please treat me and help me with this pain. She removed her gloves. I asked again, "are you going to help me?" Then said if not; then I would seek help from somewhere else. She said that I should do just that because in order for her to treat me I would have to have confidence in her and not my pharmacist. I then got up and pick up my purse and keys and proceeded to walk out of the treatment room and her office. I have never had a doctor talk down to me and scold me in this manner. I only went to her because my insurance and provider network had just changed and she was now a approved provider. I would like to say that the staff there is really compassionate and professional, but I'm afraid I cannot say the same for Dr. Gabrielle V. Williams, DDS of Piedmont Dentistry at University located at 8823 University East Drive, Suite 100 in Charlotte, NC 28213 Tel: 704-596-8949. It is a shame that this Dentist cared more about me discussing my mouth pain with my pharmacist than she did about relieving my pain of 5 days. My experience was unfortunate and now I will be reporting her to the ADA, and any other organization or board that will allow me too. I hope this post can save someone else from enduring what I went through there. It will be worth it for me, to pay a higher price for seeking an out- of-network dentist! Disheartening to say the least.

Provided by YP.comThe services I recieved here was awesome! The dentist and staff are very polite. They were all very helpful and didn't rush my appointment at all. They even called me several times to check on me after my procedures. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a very kind and pleasant atmosphere that delivers remarkable patient care.
