Established in 1999, Back Creek Christian Academy is an educational ministry of Back Creek Presbyterian Church. The academy employs a classical approach to curriculum and instruction. Saxon phonics-based reading instruction, humanities-based literature and Shurley English serve to build a strong language arts program, while everyday math encourages excellence in geometric and algebraic thinking. History and science curriculums incorporate text and teacher directed reading selections to create an integrated approach to instruction. The environment at Back Creek Christian Academy is structured yet flexible enough to be developmentally appropriate. Weekly chapel services as well as daily Bible reading and classroom devotions are central to life at the academy. Back Creek Christian Academy is a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International. BCCA is located in Charlotte, N.C.
