Eastway Middle School provides academic instruction to more than 850 students in grades six through eight. It is governed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, which also governs other elementary, middle and high schools. The school offers various programs, including Battle of the Books, peer mediation, power of girls, and leadership and global economics magnet program. It has a staff of more than 90 faculty members and over five national board-certified teachers. The school offers educational classes in various subjects, such as math, language arts, science, social studies, computer applications, basic vocabulary, health and physical education. Eastway Middle School has been operational for more than 50 years and is located in Charlotte, N.C.
