Hampton

This hotel is one of three that I use when in the Charlotte area near the UNC Charlotte campus. One constant that you can count on when using the Hampton brand is consistance from location to location and I have not had a complaint at any Hampton location. Service is good, breakfast is always to my liking, and the facilities are well kept.

Security Lacking

While taking my sister to a dance camp at University of North Carolina Charlotte we stayed at this hotel. During the night our van and a car next to us were broken into. They took $4000 worth of stuff out of the van and broke 3 windows. We are out $1000, $500 deductable for the car and $500 deductable for the stuff in the car. All the Hampton did was to comp the room for one night. They wouldn't comp for the second night and we left on a 10 hour trip home with 3 broken windows. All we got from the Hampotn Inn was "the Hampton Inn assumes no responsibility for theft and damages." There were not even any secruity cameras in the parking lot. What if there had been a single woman in the parking lot that night. We will never be staying at another Hilton brand hotel when we travel. You should be wise to do the same.
