My son has been attending Leadership Martial Arts. We have seen an improvement in his confidence and ability to follow directions. All of the leaders there are all about teaching every person in class and ensuring they get what is being taught. There is no long term contract or agreements. You do not pay for promotion but just for your new belt when you take a test.
Sensei Derek and his team make classes fun. They have divided up the belts by skill level and with the class schedule it is easy to make class every week. They teach not only Martial arts but also Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Leadership Martial arts.
We have seen so much improvement in our son that we would recommend this place to anyone who can get their.

This past Saturday, I watched their annual Kick Out Cancer (8+ years going strong!), this year benefiting the Isabella Santos Foundation. Everyone who participated had a wonderful time and were genuinely interested in making a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer. The Richardson family make everyone involved feel like family. I want to personally thank them for being so involved in the community!! Looking forward to next year!

Sensei Derek is amazing!! I have three boys in his classes ages ranging from 4-8 and I have seen amazing improvements in them. Our family homeschools so we where looking for a program to get the kids in to meet other kids get some exercise and to learn physical instruction. This has fit the bill for that and more. The classes are fun for my kids they can not wait for the next class. They have been learning a lot about Black Belt Manners and Black Belt Attitudes and it is amazing to see how my kids are using them outside of class. Also if you are looking for a place to have a great Birthday Party then you can not beat the party that Leadership Martial Arts puts on. My kids now want to just have Karate Birthdays because they are so much fun and it is so easy on us the parents as we do not have to do any of the work for the party!

All in all Leadership Martial Arts really lives up to its name as I can see my little guys are learning how to be real Leaders.

Great place to train! Great Instructors with years of experience! I have taken classes with the head instructor and owner and had nothing but a first class experience.

I wish I was a better writer, to be able to explain how much I respect Leadership Martial Arts Academy and all they stand for. Sensei Derek Richardson doesn't only teach top notch martial arts, but, I loved how he has instilled discipline, respect, courtesy and teamwork into the students. I am a lifelong martial artist and I do not give recommendations lightly as I am pretty critical. But, I give this place 5 stars, two thumbs up and a high five. I cannot wait for the next chance to get on the mats. :-) If you are in the Steele Creek area and looking for martial arts, you need to go here first.

I highly recommend Leadership Martial Arts. It is a great place for all ages and all levels. Ever since my daughter started Little Ninjas in the Summer 2013, I was so impressed with the academy that I started training in February 2015. Because of my health, I have some physical restrictions. It has been easy to adapt, get a good work out and not feel that I am disrupting or slowing the class down in any way. Participating at the academy has been beneficial, both mentally and physically. As an added bonus, it is awesome Mommy & Daughter time together. Because of our positive experience, I definitely recommend LMA.

This is one of the best family oriented busineses and we have so much fun. Leadership Martial Arts has been a great experience for me and my family. We exercise and have great family time. I am a working Mom and this is an excellent way to spend time with my boys. We are so happy to be a part of the Martial Arts family.

I would highly recommend Leadership Martial Arts to all ages.

All three of my daughters first started with Leadership Martial Arts during a summer program. It was affordable and lots of fun. In fact, it was so great that not only did we sign up all three kids but I signed up as well. I've trained at a couple of other academies and I must say that Leadership Martial Arts is by far the one I have enjoyed the most. The curriculum covers techniques from various Martial Arts and the Grappling/Brazilian JiuJitsu is amazing. Everyone, both staff and students, really help make this place great!
