Provided by YP.comFirst of all let me start by saying that my very first week I started having a lot of problems. I will only mention the most important ones:
1- First week a pipe broke a flooded the unit (living room area). I called the emergency number and no one answered. I could not sleep that night there so next morning I went to talk to the manager of the building and they were not there (it was 6:30am). Anyways, I bumped into the maintenance guy and told him what happened the night before, his words were: why did not you call the emergency number??? now you will pay for all the damages (in a very rude tone of voice). I did not care about it and wait for the manager. I told her everything (she was very nice, too bad they changed her) and she fixed it. They had to put fans and other equipment in the unit for more than 1 week (you can't imagine all the noises). They did not pay me a hotel or gave me another unit for just one week, they did not do anything at all. IT was my first week and signed a contract for 1 year because 6 months was really to expensive.
2- I complaint many times saying that the dog that lives on the unit above mine makes a lot of noise during the night. It seems the dog was a huge dog and the owner used to play with it at 11pm or 12pm. You could feel the dog running through the apartment. I have proofs that I sent a lot of emails with the complaint and the only response was: in Metro 808 we care about animals and you should know that the first day but we will talk to the owner to let him/her know. I totally understand they care about dogs but a dog that makes noises during the night is not acceptable.
3- It seems dogs like to defecate on the floor. I took a picture and sent it and they said they will take care of it but they still do it. I know that they have been trying to investigate who the responsible is but it is something that I can’t tolerate. People should be more responsible.
4- The week of the snow storm people parked using two spots and I had to park outside of the building (in the contract you are suppose to use one parking spot and there is enough spots for everyone living in the building and I still had to park outside of the building and, still no one did anything about it.
5- On top of everything I verbally talked to the person when I extended my lease (since I couldn't do anything else but just extend it) and told that I was just going to stay for only 4 more months since I am leaving but my mistake was I did not read the contract and it states that I have to give 60 day notice to make sure they will find another person to fill that unit. I am aware that it was my mistake but, they still did not do anything. It is the worse place I have ever lived in. I have been moving for more than 12 times in 4 years and I can def say please DO NOT EVEN TRY TO CONSIDER TO LIVE IN THIS PLACE, GO TO THE ELIZABETH (THE ONE IN FRONT OF IT)
6- They sent me an email asking what they could do to make my experience better. I replied with almost everything I wrote here and still haven't got a response yet. I am pretty sure they wont reply.
